Review, Please Mark!

U2: No Line on the Horizon

It seems like U2 vocalist Bono, guitarist, the Edge, bassist, Adam Clayton, and drummer, Lary Mullen Junior, have outdone themselves again with their latest release entitled No Line on the Horizon.

Written and recorded in many different locations, this is U2's 12th released studio album and is their latest release since the release of How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb, selling over nine million copies. Various recording locations include Fez, Morocco, Dublin, and New York's platinum sound recording studios. No Line on the Horizon includes the production talents of collaborators Brian Eno, Danny Lanois, and additional production by Steve Lillywhite, past production assistants to the U2 franchise.

With three hit singles currently released off of the album, one of them now representing the blackberry commercial, tracks entitled No Line on the Horizon, I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight, and Get on Your Boots, have continued to top the music charts. All of the band members contributed a great amount of effort within all of the tracks listed on the album, as Bono's distinguished tone has been known to attract many large crowds, often leading to a large amount of full venues. The Edge also portrays a unique tone with his guitar, providing just the right amount of various guitar effects to set the mood of the piece being played.

U2's No Line on the Horizon is an excellent new release and is highly recommended to fans of the rock genre and the band itself. It is no suprise, after listening to the album numerous times, that U2 continues to sell out numerous venues.

3.5 out of 4.
